There are 17 plastic buckets in the basement, approximately 1/2 gallon each with Feta Cheese in brine stored at room temperature. 15 buckets appeared to be sealed, 2 buckets are open with lids. Interview with operator states the cheese was from a family farm that went out of business approximately 6 months ago. The buckets are only labeled with masking tape with black marker in greek with 2017 or 2018 written on them. There is no approved paperwork onsite that can be provided to this department to verify the feta cheese is from an approved source. This department directs this facility to cease selling this cheese in the restaurant until further evaulation and a determination can be made. Please submit any paperwork to this department you may have regarding this feta cheese. |
