Comments: All hot holding temperatures were above the required 140 degrees F. All storage temperatures were within range. All workers are wearing hair restraints and gloves. There are two issues which need resolution as soon as possible. The sink used for hand washing should be re-labeled with a sign that indicated sink is to be used for hand washing only, do not drink this water or use for cooking or meal preparation purposes. Note: I discussed this with Dave Crisafulli and the appropriate signs will be placed as soon as received from CITI. The other is the apples on the food service line. I observed several children handling the apples, but not taking them. The apples should be wrapped, served to the student by one of the food service workers, or a food service worker should observe the students taking the apples and remove from service any apple touched by a student, but left in the bin. Please notify the health department when the above changes are made. Call Dorothy or Gene at 349-3557.
