Comments: Discussed the following with Food Service Management: Companion dogs have been able to gain access to indoor areas of the club. The club is a permitted food service establishment and as such must comply with the NYS Sanitary code. Part 14-1.183 explicitly demands the exclusion of animals. Exceptions are made for police dogs, TRAINED SERVICE animals, and fish in aquariums. Repeat violation of this section of the code will result in legal action by the Westchester County Department of Health, including but not limited to 1 - issuance of Notice of Hearing 2 - fines 3 - rescinding of the permit and/or issuance of a Commisioners Order of Closure. 4 - issuance of a board of health order (violation of a board of health order is punishable by up to 30 days in jail).
